Check to see if the skip company are regulated by the Environment Agency (www.environment-agency.gov.uk/publicregister)
and have a Licensed Waste and Licensed Waste Transfer Station Registration number.
Ours is Licensed Waste Carrier Registration Number is SEW/697343 and our Licensed Waste Transfer Station Registration Number is EAWML 30347
The bad ones are the ones that quite often fly-tip your waste and therefore add to your council tax bill.
